Available Bluebird Pomsky Puppies

...This truly was a summer like no other at Bluebird House.

Most of our litters are conceived through carefully timed artificial insemination. This is an important part of how we approach ethical breeding at Bluebird. While we may use very small toy males in carefully selected pairings, we do not breed our very small females. We follow APKC ethical breeding guidelines, which we helped establish, that females under 10 pounds should not be bred due to the increased demands and risks of pregnancy and delivery.

Artificial insemination allows us to thoughtfully pair our smallest males with appropriately sized females, with considerable care given to ovulation timing and reproductive health. It also means that, even with careful planning, not every breeding results in pregnancy. Missed pregnancies are part of reproductive breeding work, and litter size can never be guaranteed. At Bluebird House, our typical litter is just two to four puppies.

That is what made our Summer Blooms so unusual. This summer, an extraordinary number of our planned breedings resulted in successful pregnancies at the same time — giving us a much fuller house than is typical for Bluebird.

It was certainly not our norm, but it became our most memorable summer in Bluebird history.

And for me personally, I thoroughly enjoyed the long nights and very full days surrounded by Bluebird baby joy — all while launching Bluebird Puppy Yoga and finding an entirely new way to share some of that joy with others.

Our Summer Blooms made for an unusually busy summer, but the heart of how we raise our puppies never changed. If anything, this summer gave us even more opportunities to live it.
