Raising Bluebird Pomskies puppies is not my job—it’s my intentional life. My career is as an ER nurse, and my partner and I work opposite schedules so one of us is always home with the puppies. We do not vacation off money we made from selling puppies. In fact, our last vacation was over 10 years ago. I am turning 50 this year and would live a vacation! However, my dogs, puppies, and program are where my heart and soul are at, and my priority. All proceeds from Bluebird House go back into our breeding program, and in fact, our annual expenses exceed what I’m able to claim.
Our pricing reflects nearly 10 years of thoughtful, selective breeding, beginning with carefully chosen AKC-registered purebred Siberian Huskies and Pomeranians from exceptional pedigrees across the country. Our prices may not be the cheapest, but they are in line with the market and the economy. We are also a legitimate, tax-paying business—we pay both sales tax and income tax.
Behind every Bluebird puppy are years of experience, scientific knowledge of genetics, canine reproduction, whelping, neonatal and puppy care, and rearing. Each puppy receives attentive, round-the-clock care, early socialization, and thoughtful placement within a breeding program with a nearly decade-long history of puppies without major health issues.
Our work with the APKC since its inception has also helped define and establish breed standards as we work toward AKC recognition.
We believe ethical breeding means caring for our parent dogs just as deeply as we care for our puppies. Our Guardian Home Program compensates our guardian families, allowing our breeding dogs to live as cherished family members in loving homes rather than spending their lives in a kennel environment.
When you choose a Bluebird puppy, you're investing in more than the puppy you see today. You're choosing a puppy backed by an established program, a known history, generations of careful selection, and lifetime support from a breeder who will still be here for you long after your puppy goes home.
You may find a cheaper puppy from a pop-up backyard hobby breeder who simply wanted their dog to have a litter, but nine times out of ten, you get what you pay for. This is your family member for the next 12 to 15 years and a small savings now may cost significantly more in the end.
