A little early heads-up for someone who may someday be Chickadee’s forever family. 🤍

Chickadee will be retiring from our breeding program after her final litter and, when the time is right, she will be looking for an exceptional forever home of her own. Likely around Feb/March 2027 once healed from her spay surgery.

We’re sharing this well in advance because Chickadee has been part of Bluebird House for years, and there is so much of her life already documented here. If you think she may be the kind of dog you’ve been waiting for, take some time to search “Chickadee” and “Dee-Dee” on our Facebook page. You’ll find photos, videos and little glimpses of her life with us that will give you a much better feel for who she really is.

And she is exceptional.

Chickadee is mellow, deeply loving and attentive. She has that wonderful ability to simply settle in and be with her people. She is also the daughter of our retired therapy dog, Sandpiper, and so much of that beautiful temperament shines through in her.

There is no rush—Chickadee still has her final chapter at Bluebird House to complete before retirement. We simply want to give the right person or family plenty of time to get to know her from afar.

When Chickadee is ready, our hope is that her transition from our home to her forever home feels every bit as special as she is. 🤍
